PE WeldRight Ltd’s Engineers and Technicians have over 16 years of experience in carrying out live under pressure connections on both gas and water mains in the United Kingdom.
Our specialist area of expertise is carrying out connections on Polyethylene pipes in the gas and water industry using Electrofusion Branch Saddle Fittings. These fittings are installed whilst the pipeline is still under pressure resulting in zero disruption to supply.
We also offer a similar service on metallic gas and water pipelines using a mechanical fitting which has an internal rubber seal and fastens around the main with bolts which are tightened to a specific torque setting.
Both of these methods can be undertaken in tight areas meaning reducing excavation sizes and thus reducing reinstatement costs making them more cost effective than using traditional flow stopping operations. We also offer a fabrication service where we can come out onto your site and install branch saddles onto short pieces of pipe so they are ready to piece into new mains where space is really tight due to other utilities etc.
On completion of a branch saddle connection you will receive a copy of the pressure test certificate written out on site. At a later date, a full job pack report is emailed out which includes full details of fittings and valves used, an electronic test certificate, and photographs of the installation complete with the coupon.
